Scott Ferguson has been the heart and soul of Apex High School athletics since arriving in January 1994, dedicating over three decades to putting students and athletes first. As Athletic Director during some of the school’s most challenging times, he successfully navigated the temporary campus move, facility renovations, and the COVID-19 pandemic while maintaining his unwavering positivity. His contributions extend far beyond athletics—he was named 2004 Teacher of the Year and has served in numerous leadership roles from Student Council Advisor to department chair. Scott’s legacy includes modernizing Apex athletics with social media promotion, bringing back the school’s signature green color scheme, and creating lasting memories for the entire Apex community.
